ACA Feedback Policy to Candidates

Policy Overview

The SJIB aims to ensure that all feedback given to candidates is consistent and fair and maintains the integrity of the assessment.

Background

Candidates and employers are provided with an ACA Result Notification which summarises those sections which have been passed and those which have been failed. This will help to identify areas in particular sections where candidates may benefit from additional preparation prior to attempting their ACA resit.

Additional Feedback

On occasion, candidates and employers may query the ACA results and may seek information beyond that provided within the ACA Result Notification.

Candidates who require additional feedback should submit their request to the Assessment Centre Manager within 30 working days of notification of the results.

Eligibility for Feedback

Feedback will be limited to those who have narrowly failed to pass a section(s) and will be provided to the candidate or employer by the Assessment Centre Manager who will follow SJIB Guidelines.

Candidates who have attained a score lower than the minimum given in the guidance to the Assessment Centre Manager by the SJIB will be made aware that additional feedback is not available. Candidates should be directed to resources such as the ACA Preparation – Employer and Candidate Check List and ACA Candidate Guidance to help the candidates prepare for a resit.

Appeals

Candidates may appeal their ACA results if they have genuine grounds to do so. Information on what constitutes an appeal and, on the Appeals Procedure, can be found in the ACA Appeals Policy.
