Circular 04, 2024. The updated question bank for the ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessment will be effective from Tuesday, 2 April 2024.

Circular 03, 2024. The SJIB is launching a Fire, Emergency and Security Systems (FESS) Assessment in March 2024. This will be the first online eProctored assessment to be launched by the SJIB.

Circular 02, 2024. The SJIB introduced new Fire, Emergency and Security Systems (FESS) cards in February 2024. These cards will replace the old Fire and Security cards. Any existing Fire and Security cards will be honoured until the expiry date.

Circular 01, 2024. Following the publication of new statutory minimum rates of pay to come into effect on 1 April 2024, the agreed rates for Stage 1 & Stage 2 Apprentices have been amended to reflect the statutory requirements. The new rates will apply with effect from Monday 1 January 2024.

Circular 10, 2023. The SJIB recently released a Circular advising that the UK Government has announced that the National Minimum Wage (NMW) and National Living Wage (NLW) rates will increase on 1 April 2024.

As a result of this, the SJIB National Board has agreed to amend the 2024 contractual rates which Electrical Installation Apprentices should be paid with effect from 1 January 2024.

Circular 08, 2023. In line with the increase to National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage, The SJIB National Board has agreed contractual rates which Electrical Installation Apprentices should be paid from 1 January 2024

Circular 07, 2023. The SJIB National Board agreed to issue this Circular to clarify the purpose and criteria of Pre-Apprentice ECS Cards.
