Circular 06, 2023. The SJIB National Board endorsed an increase to Lodging Allowance, the Lodging Retention Fee and the Weekend Retention Fee, effective from Monday 1 January 2024.

Circular 05, 2023. The SJIB National Board agreed, at a meeting on 4 October 2023, the three days of Public Holiday for the Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024.

Circular 04, 2023. New hourly rates and amended conditions of employment agreed by the SJIB National Board which will come into effect from Monday 1 January 2024.

Circular 03, 2023. The SJIB National Board has noted an increase in the number of recruitment advertisements looking for Electrical Mates.

Circular 02, 2023. The UK Government has announced that the National Minimum Wage (NMW) and National Living Wage (NLW) rates will increase on 1 April 2023.

Circular 01, 2023. A listing of public holidays from across Scotland for 2023.

Circular 10, 2022. The UK Government has proclaimed an additional bank holiday to mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III next year. The bank holiday will fall on Monday 8 May, following the Coronation on Saturday 6 May.

To accommodate this, the SJIB National Board has agreed that this day will be acknowledged as an additional holiday for all Operatives, that it will be paid at basic rate and in accordance with the provisions of SJIB NWR 11.1.

Circular 09, 2022. It was agreed as part of the settlement for the 2022/2023 that, with effect from Monday, 2 January 2023, the calculation of the distance between the shop and the job will be by way of the fastest route on the RAC Route Planner.
